The "No Experience Necessary Hour" is for kids who are just starting out as a competitive swimmer. This 1 Hour program is designed to introduce new swimmers to the sport and give them the confidence they need to become a great swimmer through a more advanced level of training and coaching. We utilize a maximum ratio of 3 swimmers to 1 coach. Depending on sign-ups, at times we have 1 swimmer to 1 coach or 2 swimmers to 1 coach.
Swimmers will learn the basic competitive start, the basic competitive flip turn and correct stroke technique. Coaches actively monitor swimmers providing valuable feedback. Above water cameras are used to help accelerate the learning process. This program covers the basics of competitive swimming. It doesn't cover any advanced level competitive swimming techniques.
This is not a learn-to-swim program. Swimmers must be able to perform a standard front dive and swim 25M Freestyle across the pool. Although not necessary, it is encouraged that swimmers know how to preform a legal freestyle flip turn as well. It doesn't matter how fast or how well your swimmer swims, but they must be able to swim unassisted.
Remember, you don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great.
Swimmers will be separated into different lanes from the more experienced swimmers. This gives both groups the best opportunity to learn through encouragement and positive reinforcement.
